Dan Patrick scored the first interview with Les Miles after the former LSU head coach was cut by the Tigers on Sunday.

Les Miles called into the Dan Patrick radio show giving his first public comments since he was terminated and after a 12-year run at LSU, Miles had nothing but good things to say about his former employer.

Miles said the firing was done face to face and the decision to let him go was "beyond fighting." He also praised athletic director Joe Alleva for allowing him to say goodbye to his team, and that he wished them well.

He spoke about his future in coaching and specifically his future this Saturday—his first Saturday off in quite some time.

If I can find a ticket, I’ll see if my son can get me a ticket. I’ll be rooting for the LSU tigers… and I’ll be rooting for Michigan.

Pure class.
