The Lifetime Network is airing "Gypsy Rose Life After Lock Up," a documentary that tells the story of Gypsy Rose Blanchard. A young lady who, as a child, endured unspeakable torture and horrific abuse at the hands of her mother, Dee Dee Blanchard. She was a victim of Munchausen Syndrome By Proxy. When a mentally ill parent/caregiver fakes and exaggerates an illness or induces real symptoms to make a child sick.

She was 23 when she pled guilty to second-degree murder and admitted to helping her boyfriend, Nicholas Godejohn, kill her mother. In 2019, Godejohn was sentenced to life without the possibility of parole. In 2015, Gypsy Rose was sentenced to 10 years and released after serving 7 years in December 2023.

The Lifetime documentary examines her journey as she tries to navigate a new life on the outside. The cameras follow Gypsy, now 32, as she experiences life's ups and downs, dealing with public scrutiny, being thrust into the spotlight, and facing her past. See how she reconciles with life on the outside, falls in love, and looks forward to a new future. New episodes air on Mondays at 8 p.m. CT.

EXTRA Entertainment caught up with Gypsy earlier this year and asked about her newfound freedom, receiving death threats, and rekindling her relationship with ex-fiancé Ken Urker. The interview occurred in May at the red carpet premiere of her first docuseries with Lifetime, "From the Prison Confessions of Gypsy Rose Blanchard.” Here's how it went,
