List of Road Closures In Southwest Louisiana

According to KPCLTV, the state Department of Transportation and Development has issued a list of road closures throughout Southwest Louisiana, here are a list of dates and times, which are subject to change.

CALCASIEU PARISH: The right lanes of Interstate 10 westbound and eastbound, from the Shattuck Street exit to the Ryan Street exit, will be closed 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 18th.

CALCASIEU PARISH: Portions of the left lane of Interstate 10 eastbound, from the Louisiana-Texas line to the La. 27 exit, will be closed from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 19th.

CALCASIEU PARISH: The Ryan Street exit on Interstate 10 westbound will be closed until May 2015. Traffic will be detoured to the Lakeshore Drive exit. The closure is necessary for construction of the new exit ramp and North Frontage Road.

CALCASIEU PARISH: The Louisiana Avenue bridge over Contraband Bayou in Lake Charles will be closed for 20 days beginning Monday, Nov. 10. Northbound traffic will be diverted off of McNeese Street onto Kirkman Street, then east onto Walters Street. Only local traffic will be allowed north onto Louisiana Avenue from McNeese Street. Southbound traffic on Louisiana Avenue will be diverted westward onto Walter Street, then south onto Kirkman Street to McNeese Street.

CALCASIEU PARISH: North Perkins Street in DeQuincy will be closed until February 2015 to allow for the replacement of the Buxton Creek Bridge. Motorists should detour via La. 389 or Smith and Boise streets.

CALCASIEU PARISH: The LaFleur Beach/Prien Lake exit on Interstate 210 will be closed until January 2015. The closure is necessary so that crews can build a new exit ramp for the Cove Lane Interchange project. Eastbound traffic will be directed to the Nelson Road exit. Traffic on West Prien Lake Road will be routed to the Kiwanis Lane roundabout.

ACADIA PARISH: The bridge on Connie Road, west of La. 19, has been closed indefinitely to through traffic.

ACADIA PARISH: Eve Road is closed until further notice from Peach Bloom Hwy (US 356) to Lourdes Road starting Oct. 24 to allow for a bridge replacement.

JEFF DAVIS PARISH: The Powell Road bridge in Elton is closed until further notice to allow for bridge repairs
