Today is Mardi Gras here in Southwest Louisiana and in the city of Lake Charles with a ton of events going on on the parade route.

Thousands and thousands of Mardi Gras goers will flock onto Ryan Street in Lake Charles for all the festivities.

A few local area businesses will be providing live music during the day today with artists performing before and after the parades. We have assembled a list of locations having live music along the parade route today for Mardi Gras and we have them here for you.

Luna Bar & Grill in downtown Lake Charles located at 719 Ryan Street will have a street-side Jazz Band, Groovy Grove, and Cats and Aliens performing live.

Beauxdines' located at 3013 Ryan Street is having their Fat Tuesday block party with live music from Chris Breaux and Six String Rodeo and Johnny Jimenez starting at 2:00 pm.

Rikenjacks Brewing Company located at 3716 Ryan Street will have Kris Harper performing live from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm before the parade and then the Steven Breaux Band performing after the parade.

Mardi Gras In The Zone is a family-oriented, alcohol and tobacco-free area for kids, parents, and teens. They will have a live DJ, laser tag, activity tent, bounce houses, train ride, game truck, hot dogs, snow cones, and drinks. This is put on by the Calcasieu Parish Police Jury.

There are several parades today rolling down Ryan Street today also starting at 2:00 pm.

The Seven Slots Society will have its annual Jeep parade. It will start at 2:00 pm from the Lake Charles Civic Center then roll down Ryan Street and end at 12th street in Central Lake Charles. Right after that parade, there will be a Hot rod, classics, and motorcycles parade starting at 3:00 pm.

Then the Krewe Of Krewes parade starts at 5:00 pm from the Lake Charles Civic Center.  It will head down Lakeshore Drive to Mill Street. Takes a right on Mill Street and travels down to Ryan Street. Then they will turn South on Ryan Street and travel through the entire city and the parade ends at Sale Road.
