Local Comedian Turned Hollywood Actor Coming To Lake Charles Thanksgiving Weekend

The Thanksgiving holiday is less than two weeks away and you may have family and friends coming in for the four-day holiday. After all the turkey and fixings are gobbled down, you may be looking for things to do on your extended holiday weekend and we think we found a fun thing to get your group together and go see live.

Lake Charles native and comedian Jen Kober is coming back to her hometown of Lake Charles from Hollywood, California to put on three shows here in the city.

Jen Kober is originally from Lake Charles, LA, and has energetically bounded onto the national stage bringing crowds to their feet with her original blend of stand-up, story telling, and improvised rock-n-roll comedy.  Her hard-hitting hour is phenomenally funny as Kober commands the stage and dares you not to laugh. Jen was the 2017 Winner of NPR's Snap Judgement Comedic Performance of the Year for her Girl Scout Cookie Caper  story which went viral upon its release earlier that year. Kober received the 2018 Comedic Performance of the Year for her story titled Nana Vs. OJ. 

Jen Kober has appeared in television shows like American Horror Story, How We Roll, The Browns, Diary Of A Future President, The Purge, The Middle, Anger Management, and The Mindy Project and in movies like American Reunion, Paranoia in 2012 and Grudge Match in 2013.

Jen will perform live at Bodega Wine Dive in South Lake Charles.  Her first show will be on Thursday, November 24th at 7:00 pm. Then she will have a show the next night on Friday, November 25th at 8:00 pm and another on Saturday night, November 26th at 8:00 pm. All shows will feature special guests.
