Mayor Nic Hunter Reaches Out to Residents as Weather Approaches

As we play the guessing game of what this upcoming storm will actually do, residents of Southwest Louisiana are obviously on edge about it. Will we get rain, wind, flooding, or all of the above?

The answer is more than likely all of the above, but it is still too early to tell. The models being shown across social media are not the most accurate to begin with and tend to stir more panic than help.

Mayor Nic Hunter took to his social media platform again to tell residents of Lake Charles the city is doing all it can and city employees are working as hard as they can to prepare for potential flooding that could occur this weekend.

Jacob Durham with KPLC says it is still early to know exactly what is going to happen, but the area should be prepared for heavy rain in the area. The area that will get it the most is still up in the air. There is still no definitive indication of where the storm will go, but we should at least expect rain over the weekend and be prepared for potential flooding.
