Rappers continuously returning to their old stomping grounds after acquiring fame and fortune has been a hot topic in the wake of the murder of Nipsey Hussle who was killed near his old neighborhood. Meek Mill thinks the same thing could happen to him if he frequented his old neighborhood in Philly.

On Saturday (June 8), Meek opened up to fans in another #AskMeek session on Twitter. The Philly rapper touched on a number of topics being queried including future musical collabs and his tastes in women. Things took a bit of a more serious tone when he was asked how he feels about returning to his hood after becoming a well-known rap star.

"U be parnoid wen u go back 2 yo hood? Or u feel u done earned yo respect and ain’t no nigga goin try it?" one person asked.

The Dreamchasers rapper gave a straight-forward response. "I stay on my toes I know they will kill me in the hood," he said. "It’s no morals involved with these streets .... most importantly I stay away from them."

Meek has opened up to fans on Twitter before. Last December, he started the #AskMeek hash tag and urged fans to offer their burning questions. He answered dozens of questions including his reasons for squashing beefs, what collabs were on the way, his thoughts on the Surviving R. Kelly docuseries and more.
