Family and fans alike mourn the lose of two legends in the music world, Otis "Damon" Harris of The Temptations and Cleotha Staples of The Staple Singers.

Cleotha Staples, was one of the founding members of The Staples Singers.  She died on February 21 in Chicago at the age of 78, after battleing Alzheimer's disease for nearly a decade.

Her legendary sister Mavis said of her death, "We will keep on."  "Yvonne and I will continue singing to keep our father's legacy and our sister's legacy alive.  I just finished my second record with Jeff Tweedy, and it will be dedicated to my dear Cleedi's memory."

We also lost, Otis “Damon” Harris of the legendary  Temptations, who passed away on Feb. 18 at the age of 62.

According to his daughter, Erica Harris Outlaw, told CNN that the her dad died after a long bout with prostate cancer.

“He was in great pain for the last several months,” she said. “He was the kind of dad where you wanted the best for him. We’re going to really miss him. We miss him already.”  Dennis Edwards said, “I am saddened to hear about Damon, he will be missed.”  Here's a look back at Otis's happier times performing "Papa Was A Rolling Stone":

In other news, rapper Young Vito will be anything but young when he gets out of prison.  The rapper is responsible for the death of Waka Flocka Flame's protege' Slim Dunkin, who's real name was Mario Hamilton.

The 29-year old, Young Vito murdered Slim at an Atlanta studio amazingly enough over a piece of candy.  During his trial, prosecutors charged that Vito shot 24-year old Slim during a fight at the East Atlanta studio on Dec. 21, 2011.  Slim was recording a video with rapper Gucci Mane at the time.  After Vito and Slim were initially separated, witnesses say the Slim charged at Vito, who then fired his weapon and killed Slim.

Vito's trial went down recently and you want believe the verdict.  Listen to Tha Wire below to get all the details.  In other legal issues.  Gunplay was caught on video surveillance robbing accountant Turron Woodside and his trial also took place recently.  With the video footage, one would have thought that the rappers days were numbered, especially when he been in trouble several times before.  However, it would appear that Gunplay, has nine lives because he got an unlikely break.
