Nas joins forces with Carmelo Anthony and other big names to invest in a new ticket search engine and Newark, New Jersey readies "24-Hours Of Peace".

According to Forbes, Hip Hop icon Nas has joined a superstar team consisting of Carmelo Anthony, Peyton and Eli Manning and others, investing in the ticket search engine SeatGeek.

SeatGeek is free and the place to go if you need tickets to live events, like concerts, games Broadway shows and more. Listen to Tha Wire below and find out how it works.  In the meantime, it’s now secret Nas is a well-established businessman.

The rap vet has his hands in several different money making ventures and adding SeatGeek to his ever expanding portfolio.   Nas said of his latest business deal, “I’m excited to be on board with the SeatGeek team. “As our world gets more complicated, tools that give consumers simple solutions to make big purchases are going to win in the market, and we believe SeatGeek is that solution for live event ticketing.”

In other news, I'm sure we all can agree gun violence is a serious issue all over the world. It’s no longer plaguing just the inner-cities of America, but upper class communities, our nation’s schools, not to mention the never-ending reign of terror going on in Africa and the Middle East.

Unfortunately, guns are the main weapon of choice for war, be it civil or global and the violence is out of control.  AllHipHop reports, for the past 4-years Newark, New Jersey and its Mayor Ras Baraka have been teaming up with community leaders, artists, local vendors, and others to end the bloodshed in their city.

Finally, confirming reports by multiple news sources, Jeezy was released for jail after posting bail late last night.  Steve Carless, president of Jeezy's label, CTE released a brief statement saying, "Young Jeezy has posted bail for all six people arrested. He will be released tonight in the next hour or so. A full statement is coming soon."
