Process Service Specialists (PSS), a specialty industrial mechanical contractor headquartered in Gonzales, is moving into Southwest Louisiana. This expansion is a 3.5 million dollar manufacturing facility located at the Port of Lake Charles. The project is expected to create 160 direct new jobs at an average salary of $100,000 per year! According to the Louisiana Economic Development, they estimate the new project at the Port will also provide another 318 indirect new jobs, for a total of 478 potential open positions. LED Secretary Susan B. Bourgeois expressed the importance of the expansion adding,

“We thank PSS for choosing to build at the Port of Lake Charles, where the creation of high-paying jobs will help support the southwest Louisiana economy.”

Bourgeois continued. “This expansion is a powerful illustration of the ripple effect that manufacturing investments have on our state’s economy, resulting in more than 300 additional jobs that support the work being done at this new facility. This project is a win, not only for 160 new PSS employees with the opportunity for ever-growing wages, but for the economic activity that will be stimulated across the city, parish and region.”

The PSS project is not only a win but a true expansion for the industrial mechanical contractor. The headquarters is in Gonzales, there is another office location in La Porte, Texas, and now a new 11-acre facility in Southwest Louisiana at the Port of Lake Charles. There is no limit to the range of services this location will be able to provide.
