Nicki Minaj Claims Grammy Producer Has Bullied and Silenced Her for Years
Since the announcement of Cardi B’s momentous win at the 2019 Grammy Awards on Sunday night (Feb. 10), many fans have wondered why, exactly, Nicki Minaj has yet to win a gramophone. On Monday (Feb. 11), Nicki jumped onto her Twitter account to address that very question and accused Grammy Awards producer Ken Ehrlich of playing a role her lack of Grammy wins.
"I pissed off the same man Ariana just called out for lying," Nicki began in response to one fan who asked what had prevented her from winning a Grammy award. "Grammy producer KEN. I was bullied into staying quiet for 7 years out of fear. But I’ll tell my fans the REAL on the next episode of #QueenRadio they deserve the truth."
Nicki closed things out by giving props to everyone won Grammys last night, writing, "Also, CONGRATS to everyone who won last night."
Taking things back a bit, the Ehrlich Nicki was referring to is the same one whom Nicki's friend pop singer friend Ariana Grande accused of lying in regards to the singer's reasoning for deciding not to perform at the 2019 Grammy Awards. Ehrlich said the reason was that Ariana “felt it was too late to pull something together." Shortly thereafter, though, Grande clapped back on Twitter and said that Ehrlich was “lying about me” and “my creativity and self-expression was stifled.”
Either way, Nicki will reveal the full extent of her allegations against Ehrlich during a forthcoming episode of her Beats 1 program Queen Radio. XXL has reached out to the Recording Academy for comment.
