Shreveport, La. - According to KSLA, on Tuesday, September 19, rapper Mystikal, real name Michael Lawrence Tyler (46), was indicted by a Caddo Parish grand jury for one count of first-degree rape and second-degree kidnapping. His bond is currently set at $3 million.

The New Orleans bred rapper turned himself into Shreveport Police on Monday, August 21, 2017, where he told a reporter he was turning himself in "to get this business reconciled, get this behind me, man."

Two others are also being charged in connection with the incident, and DNA evidence reportedly puts both Tyler and a second man, Texas-based rapper Lil Hood, real name Averweone Darnell Holman (26), at the scene of the alleged assault that took place at a casino in downtown Shreveport, on Oct. 22, 2016.

This isn't Mystikal's first run-in with the law, as he plead guilty to sexual battery and extortion of his then hairstylist in 2003. He began a six-year sentence on January 14, 2004, and was released January 14, 2010, on probation, and registered as a sex offender.
