Sax In The City : Dinner & Concert 2016

Come out for wonderful evening of the smooth groove sounds of two-time Grammy nominated, music educator, saxophonist extraordinaire, Mickey Smith Jr and friends. Back by popular demand it's 'Sax In The City: Dinner & Concert,' presented by Mickey Smith Jr.  Like events past, this a live event and artist showcase you wont want to miss!  It all takes place Sunday October 2, 2016 live at the Lake Charles Civic Center.

'Sax In The City: Dinner & Concert,' is a party with a purpose, benefiting Musicmakers2U, a non-profit organization that donates new or refurbished instruments to young talented musicians in SWLA.  To many times the musical talent or interest to play is there, but the means to purchase the instruments is not.  Lets continue to inspire, preserve and keep the music alive, by supporting this initiative.

The catered dinner will be served at 5:30, followed by the concert at 7:00 PM.  Dinning guests receive preferred seating for their advance ticket purchase of $30, along with a world-class meal.  Doors open for none- dinning guests at 6:30 p.m. and general admission is $15 at the door.  Tickets may also be purchased online through Ticketmaster, or at Swicegood Music (308 E Prien Lake Rd) and Bearden's Music (202 Cities Service Hwy.)

All guests will be treated to a musical showcase like none other and an exciting art gallery show, highlighting local artists.  Below is a sample of what to expect, from Mickey Sunday night.
