Snoop Dogg Calls Out President Trump Over Government Shutdown
Snoop Dogg has some issues with the ongoing government shutdown, and he decided to place blame on our Commander-in-Chief Donald Trump.
In a video he posted to Instagram yesterday (Jan. 6), the veteran rapper lets loose his thoughts about the government shutdown, which has affected the livelihoods of federal employees across the country. Snoop starts off by saying that people in the federally employed people missing out on paychecks because of the shutdown now shouldn't vote for the 45th president of the United States if he runs again.
"All you people in the federal government that are not getting paid right now ain't no way that you can vote for Donald Trump when he come up again," Snoop began. "If y'all do vote for him, y'all some stupid muthafuckas."
This isn't the first time the U.S. has had a government shutdown, as folks might remember when Barack Obama closed down the government during his tenure in office. The government has shut down causing government workers to go on furlough and non-essential services suspended. The longest shutdown took place when Bill Clinton was the president. His second goverment shutdown happened in 1996, and that one lasted 21 days.
Elsewhere in the video, the "Smile" rapper continues by expressing how terrible it is that people are not getting paychecks and won't receive their tax refunds during the shutdown.
Snoop also claims that the president doesn't care about the afflicted government workers, who Trump reportedly refers to as "Democrats" who will "have to make adjustments." Towards the end of the video, Snoop reasserts his stance on who to vote for in 2020.
"Don't vote for that nigga. Please don't. Look what he do. He just don't give a fuck."
