The City of Lake Charles presents the latest Teen Connection session for local teenagers, ages 13 to 18, on Thursday, April 18, from 5 pm – 6 pm, at the Cpl Donald Ray Stevens Center, formerly Goosport Recreation, located at 1619 Cessford St.

Thursday, April 18: Teen Connection will take a closer look at How to Establish Credit. A good credit store is an important part of building a solid financial foundation. Learning proper money management, including how to responsibly use credit is an important skill for young adults approaching adulthood. This Teen Connection will focus on how teens can go about establishing and responsibly using credit.

"Teen Connection” is designed to help teenagers learn job skills, college prep, social media, interview skills, and ACT prep among others. The classes are instructed by educators, government officials, and business leaders in the community.

Contact Katie Harrington at 491.9176 for more information.

The April 4, session was cancelled on last week due to inclement weather conditions, no word yet if the Money Basics for Teens session will be rescheduled.
