Teen Connections Spring Semester Has Two Sessions in January
The City of Lake Charles announces their latest Teen Connection seminars for local high school students to focus on Sports Scholarships and Becoming a Teenage Real Estate Mogul. The seminars are for teens ages 13-18, and free of charge. The spring sessions for January 2019 are scheduled for Thursday, January 10, and Thursday, January 17, from 5 pm - 6 pm.
Thursday, January 10: Teen Connection will tackle Sports Scholarships and what collegiate athlete hopefuls can do to improve their chances of being recruited. This session will be held at the Cpl Donald Ray Stevens Center, formerly Goosport Recreation, located at 1619 Cessford St.
Thursday, January 17: Teen Connection will take a closer look at careers in real estate and provide information on how to Become a Teenage Real Estate Mogul. For this session, the City of Lake Charles is teaming up with Ward 3 Recreation and the event will be held at the Huber Park Community Center located at 2401 4th Ave.
"Teen Connection” is designed to help teenagers learn job skills, college prep, social media, interview skills, and ACT prep among others. The classes are instructed by educators, government officials, and business leaders in the community.
