We've got you covered when it comes to the latest road closures in and around Lake Charles. On Monday, October 29, 2018, at 9 am, all lanes of Louisiana Avenue at the Contraband Bayou Bridge (4400 Block) will close. The closure should last until the end of November, weather permitting, said a media release. The closure has been scheduled to allow repairs to the deck of the bridge.

You're probably wondering, how am I supposed to get to my destination now? Don't worry, here are the alternate routes: "Northbound traffic will be diverted off McNeese Street, onto Kirkman Street, then east onto Walters Street. Only local traffic will be allowed north onto Louisiana Avenue from McNeese Street. Southbound traffic on Louisiana Avenue will be diverted westward onto Walters Street, then south onto Kirkman Street to McNeese Street."

Check back each day for the latest updates concerning closures in the area.
