Texas Dad Builds Amusement Park for Daughter with Special Needs
This Texas father couldn’t find a theme park that suited the needs of his daughter with special needs, so he built his own.
According to Inside Edition, in 2007 Gordon Hartman invested $15 million to build the theme park called “Morgan’s Wonderland,” named after his daughter who has "cognitive and physical disabilities.”
“Morgan’s Wonderland,” located in San Antonio, is a 25-acre park with 26 different attractions designed for “people with special needs.”
Hartman has spent an additional $17 million on the park to also have warm water attractions for people with muscular problems, and waterproof, motorized wheelchairs. All together he’s spent $32 million on the park, and it’s brought in visitors from 67 countries.
