Looks like the New York City has found a new way to make money off of it’s massive population, because now the ever so popular “hoverboards” have been banned. If caught riding them in NYC, look to fork over your money for Christmas gifts, because the fine isn’t cheap at all.

New York City has issued a $500 fine for anyone caught riding a “hoverboard” on the street or sidewalk.

The electric-scooter is considered a motor vehicle that cannot be registered with the DMV, so that means back to walking, and riding the subway or transit bus. What a buzz kill.
