The This Is Home Festival is coming to Lake Charles this May and takes place in downtown Lake Charles.

The festival will take place at 1001 Ryan Street between Iris and Kirby Streets right in front of Historic 1911 City Hall. It's going to be at the same location where Downtown At Sundown takes place every year.

The festival will take place on May 14th, 202 in Lake Charles. The creators and staff of the festival said,

The Mission of This is Home Fest is to enhance the unique quality of life in Southwest Louisiana by sharing music and culture that celebrate local and global artistry.

 

The festival will promote our rich culture by presenting the area’s finest musicians along with national touring acts in a family-friendly outdoor setting.

 

Proceeds from the festival benefit The SWLA Arts Council and other local non-profits. This Is Home Festival is free and open to the public.

So who is playing?  The festival just released the entertainment lineup which will take place on two stages that day.

Panorama Music House located at 331 Broad Street will be featuring live music from The RawDawgs

The Dunham-Price Group Main Stage will have live music starting at Noon with:

12:00 pm --Red Dirt Revue

1:00 pm --  Bad Bongo

2:00 pm -- Deuce Jacko and Xydeflo

3:00 pm --  Ron Fruge and Basin Street

4:00 pm ---Snydley Whiplash

5:00 pm -- Julian Primeaux

6:00 pm Amanda Shaw

8;00 pm Suzanne Santo

 

On the Hometown Stage music starts at 11:30 am.

11:30 am ---Young Band Nation

12:30-5:30 Youth and Community Musicians

Then starting at 9:30 pm, the This Is Home Fest After Party will take place at Panorama Music House 331 Broad Street in Lake Charles. It will feature Louisiana Music Hall of Famer Amanda Shaw and Grammy Award Winner Chubby Carrier & the Bayou Swamp Band.

So make plans to go out and enjoy yourself on Saturday, May 14th in beautiful downtown Lake Charles.
