Tiger Woods, who in recent months has slipped to a number 17 ranking in the world, says injuries to his left leg sustained during the Masters will make him miss next week’s AT&T National tournament at Aronomink near Philadelphia.

Woods hasn’t finished a tourney since tying for fourth place at the Masters in April, where hitting from an awkward stance in pine straw on the 17th hole injured his left knee and Achilles tendon.

A news conference is slated for next Tuesday afternoon, and on Wednesday he’s expected to appear at Aronomink as a spectator and to sign the We Salute Our Heroes tribute wall, where people can write messages to the US military.
