With school beginning just a few weeks away, we have tried to do our part to get out and show support to as many people as we could. This past weekend, we sponsored the big Backpack Giveaway with Black Militia and Home Health Care 2000, which was a grand success on Saturday.

Also, last week we worked with the Lake Charles branch of Big Brothers Big Sisters and today we were able to drop off a multitude of supplies to help the littles start off the new year.

Our sister stations, Gator 99.5, 92.9 The Lake and 107 Jamz teamed up together by asking our listeners to bring in supplies to the station. And our listeners heard our call. The bed of the truck was filled with no room left. The director of Big Brothers Big Sisters, Erin Davidson, was on hand to welcome us in as we dropped off all of the goods.

We understand how hard it is for the kids to go back to school without having everything they need. We hope that we have helped to make it a little easier for the kids and their parents for the new year. Thanks to all of the listeners for taking the call to give and helping our children in Southwest Louisiana out this year.
