Real quickly, AllHipHop just announced N.W.A's debut single "Straight Outta Compton", just appeared on the Top 40 charts.  Now this wouldn't be that big of a deal if it weren't for the fact that the song is 27-years old!!!  This is crazy.  An get this, though N.W.A.'s sold millions of albums they NEVER got a Top 40 single, till now.

The group has finally crossed over and it's all because of the movie, which is introducing their music to an entirely new audience.  In 1988  "Straight Outta Compton" came in at #8 on Billboards Hot Rap Charts and #13 on the Hop Hop and R&B Charts.  This week, the single achieved it's first Top 40 entry coming in at #38.

Now that's pretty amazing!  Wow!  For even more on Tha Wire LISTEN LIVE now to The Peoples Station 107 Jamz.  Also, find out what celebs are celebrating birthdays today!
