Take part in all the festivities today (Dec. 12) in Vinton, LA.  There's gonna be a variety of holiday events scheduled throughout the day for everyone in the family to enjoy, plus jambalaya will be served compliments of the Vinton KC Hall. The best part of course is the annual Vinton Christmas Parade, which kicks off the festivities at 5 p.m.

The parade will begin at Vinton High School and end at Vinton Elementary School, located at 1610 Hampton Street.  So be sure to grab a spot along the parade route.  Stick around as the Vinton Elementary PTO will host a Cajun Christmas celebration for all to enjoy. Donate canned goods and get in free!  The community is encouraged to wear there favorite Cajun attire and take pictures with Santa Claus as well.
