The Alzheimer's Association's Walk To End Alzheimer's will be held at The Lake Charles Civic Center Amphitheater tomorrow morning beginning at 9 am. For those who are unfamiliar with Alzheimer's Disease. It is the most common cause of Dementia and is known as memory loss usually found in our older adults.

The event will be held to raise not only funds but awareness for those who may want to get more information on the crippling disease. It takes a lot for funding and research and tomorrow's event will be held to assist in doing just that.

There will be COVID-19 precautions in place and attendees that will walk are asked to be vaccinated against COVID-19 or please wear a mask. There will also be masks on site for the occasion as well.

When I think about Alzheimer's Disease and its effects on the victim's family. It makes me think of wanting to spend time with my loved ones and not have them remember me. All of the fun times and togetherness over the years can possibly be minimized to a small moment they may remember. Or they could have you confused with someone else from their past. This is a great cause and I ask any of you who can do your part and help find a cure for this.
