The weALLmatter Mentor Program was founded by local teacher Teri Sugandi, a graduate of Westlake High and McNeese State University.  Teri has a Bachelor’s in History and a Master’s of Arts in Teaching Secondary Social Studies.  She has been teaching middle and high school students since 2006.  Wilson Truitt Jr., a graduate of East Beauregard High School, is also a teacher and taught at both Pensacola Junior College and McNeese State University.

weALLmatter Mentor Program was developed specifically for kids between the ages of 10-17 and aimed at teaching them life building skills and healthy behaviors. Together Teri, Wilson and a few volunteers and sponsors with like qualifications, focus on teaching kids to be positive role models at home, school and their communities.  At the same time, stressing the importance of education and guiding them towards choosing a career path, among other helpful life lessons.
