YoungBoy Never Broke Again is off probation.

On Friday (Dec. 13), Louisiana publication The Advocate confirmed that a judge agreed to terminate the Baton Rouge, La. rapper's probation early. A rep for YoungBoy also confirmed the news to XXL.

According to the report, prosecutors were objecting to YoungBoy being let off early, but the judge felt that he's properly complied with all the conditions of his probation. The probation was one he was given back in August of 2017. That's when YoungBoy was handed a suspended 10-year prison term with three years of probation after he pleaded guilty to aggravated assault with a firearm in a 2016 shooting. He was originally arrested for the shooting in November 2016 and he was held in a jail cell until May of 2017. After his release, he was given probation.

Speaking with Baton Rouge's WAFB 9 after the hearing, YoungBoy admitted he was fearful of the future, but that he wanted the chance to evolve.

“[I’m not going to] lie, I’m kind of scared,” he explained. “But, I’m free now. I been waiting for this for a long time. I ain’t really got nothing to prove anymore. I want to grow and continue to do right from now on. But, a lot goes on with me so I’m still kind of scared.”

As previously reported, a video appearing to show YoungBoy “talking trash and smack” back in May caught the attention of a judge, who said that the video violated the terms of his 2017 probation for a firearms charge. He was sentenced to three months behind bars and 14 months of house arrest.

YoungBoy's attorney, James Manasseh, told The Advocate that the rapper now plans to leave the city of Baton Rouge and potentially move to Los Angeles following this new second chance.

"Being in Baton Rouge isn't conducive to him being able to grow and move forward," Manasseh said. YoungBoy himself confirmed the move to cameras outside of the courtroom as he exited.
