Flood conditions have led to a second day off of school for Jeff Davis Parish students on Friday, Jan. 11, and along the eastern edge of the parish, flood conditions may necessitate evacuations along the Mermentau River. Due to flooded conditions and the threat of more rain … Jeff Davis Parish and Acadia parish schools have been closed for tomorrow. We will update this list if we hear of any more closures. A flash flood watch continues through tomorrow for just about all of Southwest Louisiana. Check back here for developments.

Thanks to the severe weather, we're seeing a rash of road closures and school closures this morning. Schools in Beauregard, Jeff Davis and Vernon parishes are shut down today, as are schools in Acadia, Lafayette, St. Landry, Vermillion and St. Martin parishes .
