5 Great After Valentine’s Day Gifts For Yourself
So Valentine's Day has come and gone and contrary to popular belief not everyone was able to spend time with that special person. As a matter of fact, many of our listeners were simply not in the mood. Some have run across a few rotten eggs and with the way things are going right now, many are simply too busy to get a relationship going.
Don't fret if that is you. You can still benefit from some great things from Valentine's Day for yourself and can treat yourself like the King or Queen that you are. I have compiled a list of five things that I feel you may like or even love when it comes down to treating yourself to something special.
Valentine's Day Candy:
Everyone loves a little chocolate every now and then. How about having a little discounted chocolate. Sure you may only have a few weeks before the expiration date goes into effect, but there is nothing like some good sweets the day after at a marked-down price.
Roses:
This may be a little more for the ladies out there. But how about some Roses that you can purchase at a marked-down price especially from your area Krogers or Walmart. Sure there is nothing sweeter than being surprised by a delivery person standing there with some beautiful Roses, but guess what they don't lose value just because you bought some and even had them delivered to yourself.
Relaxing Staycation:
This is the art of taking time to have a getaway without the lofty price of an expensive airline ticket or multiple stops at a gas station. Put in that PTO and take a day off to enjoy and relax a little. Why not book a room at a local hotel or even do something different around the house. But treat yourself to a relaxing Massage, Pedi, and Mani treatment and of course a great dinner at your favorite restaurant or find a new location to travel to.
Treat Yourself To A Little Jewelry:
They say Diamonds are a girl's best friend. Well, I say treat yourself to a little piece of Jewelry and live it up a little.
Give yourself time to heal:
Many relationships don't survive because we tend to jump from one to the other and don't give ourselves enough time to really get to know ourselves. Sometimes taking a little healing time and really taking a look at what we need or want in our lives is the difference between a successful or bad relationship and even marriage.
These are just my recommendations on how to get over the day for lovers and take a little time for yourself. Just like a job, there come times when you may feel burnt out or complacent and relationships are the same. Take some time for yourself and live life, Never compare what you have or don't have to anyone else as that'll alleviate the pressures on yourself that could lead to depression and heights that may be hard to obtain.
