Actress and Comedian Yvette Wilson of ‘Moesha’ dead at 48 [Video]

Man this is very sad news to report as Comedian Yvette Wilson, who had been fighting stage 4 cervical cancer and kidney disease, died Thursday, according to several reports. She was 48.

We were all familiar with Yvette Wilson from being apart of the hit show on UPN "Moesha" and its spinoff, The Parkers. She had recently been in the news as need financial assistance to handle some of the medical bills that she had started to build up due to the treatments. Wilson was also a stand up comedian and is also probably most notoriously known for the small but memorable role in the movie Friday along with Chris Tucker. Her Moesha co-star, Shar Jackson, acknowledged her death in a tweet last night:

"I wanna thank all my tweeties for their prayers but god has chosen to take my sister Yvette home.. ... "
