It’s getting closer to that time of year again where we dress the kids up and get them ready for some Halloween fun.

The City of Lake Charles Recreation and Parks Department is gearing up for their annual Harvest Festival on Monday, October 31, 2016, at the Lake Charles Civic Center (900 Lakeshore Drive), from 5 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.

It’s a FREE event for the community, featuring concessions, games, train rides, face art, and plenty of fun inside the Civic Center Coliseum. You’re encouraged to wear costumes, but they are not required.

Also, trick-or-treat activities in Lake Charles are recommended to end at 8 p.m. on Oct. 31. The City encourages parents to get their children home by 8:30 p.m., "unless they are attending a supervised function sponsored by other parents or civic organizations.”
