Arrests Made in Monday Convenience Store Armed Robbery
The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office arrested a Lake Charles man for the armed robbery of a convenience store in the 1900 block of Sam Houston Jones Parkway in Lake Charles. A woman was also arrested for her involvement.
According to a media release from Kim Myers, deputies responded to a convenience store in the 1900 block of Sam Houston Jones Parkway on Monday, January 28, at about 12:40 am. A man entered the store with a firearm and demanded money from the clerk, and stole an undisclosed amount of cash before he fled the store on foot in an unknown direction.
After several tips from the public, detectives learned the identity of the suspect who robbed the store was Ryan K. Rashall, 33, of 487 Telephone Road, 3B, in Lake Charles. A second person, a woman, Crystal M. Foreman, 38, listed as homeless, drove Rashall to and from the location of the robbery, said Myers.
Both were arrested the same day and booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center.
Rashall is charged with armed robbery; and armed robbery with the use of a firearm. His bond is set at $250,000. Foreman is charged with armed robbery accessory after the fact. Her bond is set at $75,000.
