Citgo Petroleum of Lake Charles is promoting the joy of reading by teaming up with Jennifer Frances, founder of Bess the Book Bus. Reading is truly fundamental, and inspiring children to read while giving them access to books is the key to making them avid readers. Soon, children in SWLA will have an opportunity to escape the ordinary and travel into wonderful worlds of adventure.

The partnership between Citgo and Bess the School Bus will allow kids in Pre-K, Kindergarten, and First Grade to receive free books. Since the mobile bus reading system began, Frances told the local news they've given away more than 900,000 books to help children in need. Bess the Book Bus will start making her rounds at schools in the area as early as today.
