During a interview with CNN, Jay-Z who happens to be one
of America's wealthiest citizens said "I think most people with a conscience , with some integrity and moral fiber wouldn't have any problem paying more taxes." Jay sat down to discuss his thoughts on President Obama's battle with the Republican Congress to raise taxes on the rich to help keep the tax cuts for American workers.
Jay who is among the wealthy 1 percent pulled in $37 million last year. In spite of that he opening said that he doesn't mind paying more taxes provided the money goes were it's suppose to. Hov added " I wouldn't mind paying more taxes if it went to the things that really mattered. If it went to education, to people in poverty, if it went to the right things, I wouldn't mind.
However, on that same token Jay said he'd like to see an "open accounting" of where the tax dollars are going. I must say, that isn't a bad idea. Jay said if it were possible, that it would also ease the minds of wealthy people who hate the idea of paying higher taxes.
In other Jay-Z news, he revealed that not only will he and Kanye be releasing new material in the next year, they also might team up to record Watch the Throne II. So, be on the look out!
