Womenon20s.org, a non-profit, grassroots organization that recently used an online election to get the public's opinion on putting a woman on the 20 dollar bill.  The public was given an option to chose one out of 15 American women.  After two rounds of voting that took place over a 10 week period, a decision was made.

With more than 600,000 votes the legendary abolitionist, noted for her work for the Underground Railroad, Harriet Tubman was selected as the winner!  Thousands said that they would like to see the heroic freedom fighter, civil war nurse and women's suffrage pioneer to grace the front of a $20.00 bill.

The only thing left to do now, is convince President Obama to instruct the Secretary of the Treasury, Jacob Lew to use his authority to implement the order and have the new bill put in circulation, before the 100th anniversary of women's suffrage in 2020.

Women On 20s has already presented the President with the petition, so we'll see what happens.  In the meantime if you wanna show your support, change your Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and other profile photos to the featured image.  Simply download the photo by right clicking on the image to save it, then upload it.
