Happy Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day! Today the nation celebrates the life and legacy of a man who gave his life fighting for liberties, justice and freedom for all and against racial violence and bigotry. He and many other brave men and women stood-up, marched, went to jail and died to get The Voting Rights Act passed. Dr. King sacrificed his own safety so we could live without fear in a free country and he did so with dignity, character, humility and grace.

Dr. King sacrificed his own safety so we could live without fear in a free country and he did so with dignity, character, humility and grace. Today the struggle of freedom for all is far from being over. We have come a long way, but haven't won the battle yet. Dr. King warned he not get there with us, but eventually we will get to the Promise Land. His legacy lives in all of us, and his example is our guide. Together we can use his nonviolent, blueprint to achieve his lifelong DREAM of social justice for all.
