Emergency SNAP And Hot Food Benefits Extended To November

If you've been approved for emergency SNAP benefits, recipients who don't already get the max amount for their household, are eligible for benefits in November. In addition the Louisiana "hot foods" waiver has been extended through November 30. This program allows both SNAP and DSNAP recipients to use their SNAP EBT card to purchase hot or prepared food at participating Louisiana retailers. Please note this DOES NOT include restaurants. SNAP Emergency allotments will be automatically loaded onto EBT cards in mid-November.

Once approved, new applicants will receive benefits on a rolling weekly basis. Regular SNAP benefits will be issued on November 1. For more details on the SNAP emergency benefits, extensions or how to apply click HERE.
