Four Local Men Rack Up Multiple Charges Connected to Vehicle Burglaries & Thefts
The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office made four arrests connected to a string of recent vehicle burglaries and thefts in the Lake Area. Deputies responded to multiple complaints on September 12 in regards to "vehicle burglaries of unlocked vehicles in the areas of Banbury Road, Boisclair Drive, Burgundy Drive, Delta Drive, and Elliot Road in South Lake Charles", said a media release.
As deputies were investigating the incidents and looking for a "suspicious car in the area", the car was located near Elliot and Gauthier Road. Deputies attempted to make a traffic stop, but the suspect fled and led them on a pursuit. The suspect struck a utility pole near East Prien Lake Road and Common Street and fled on foot. A perimeter was set up but deputies reportedly had no luck locating the suspect.
The investigation also turned up that car was stolen from the same area where the burglaries happened. The suspects were later identified as William D. Dennis, 20; Timothy D. Linan, 20; Jakhoryn M. Duhon, 21; and Robert L. Green, 22, all of Lake Charles. Warrants were signed and issued for all 4 suspects arrests.
"Linan and Duhon were arrested and booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center. Dennis is charged with possession of stolen things; 9 counts of simple burglary; 8 counts of theft; and theft of a firearm. His bond is set at $333,000."
"On September 16 both Linan and Duhon were arrested. Linan is charged with 9 counts of simple burglary; 7 counts of theft; and theft of a firearm. His bond his set at $275,500."
"Duhon is charged with 10 counts of simple burglary; 8 counts of theft; simple criminal property damage; and theft of a firearm. His bond is set at $307,500."
"On September 19 Green was arrested and booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and is charged with 10 counts of simple burglary; 7 counts of theft; theft of a firearm; and simple criminal property damage. His bond is set at $322,500."
Evidence also put Dennis as the driver of the stolen car. He's additionally charged with "driver must be licensed; reckless operation; aggravated flight from an officer; flight from an officer; hit and run; and theft of a motor vehicle; with an additional bond set at $19,750".
More charges and arrests could come in the future as the investigation continues.
