Gordon McKernan to Give Away 488 Free Bikes Across Louisiana

Every year we team up with Gordon McKernan Injury Attorneys (3042 Ryan St. Lake Charles, LA 70601) to spread the joy of Christmas by giving away the ultimate childhood gift. A BRAND NEW SHINY BIKE!

It's the one gift all kids dream about for Christmas because bikes give a child a sense of independence, a chance to burn off pinned-up energy in their free time and experience outdoor adventures. The memory of getting his first bike on Christmas Day is exactly what inspired the Louisiana attorney to launch the holiday bike giveaway almost two decades ago.

It all started at McKernan's flagship law firm in the Greater Baton Rouge area with 94 bikes. As Gordon McKernan Injury Attorneys has grown, so too has the annual holiday giveaway. Today with more than 425 locations in multiple cities in Louisiana McKernan gives away hundreds of bikes each year.

The 2024 Gordon Gives Bike Giveaway will include 488 shiny 20" bikes for girls and boys ages 6 to 8 years old. Bikes come with helmets and safety gear as well. Registration is now open! Entry link and deadline dates, times, and locations are below:

Lake Charles, Lafayette, Alexandria, Shreveport, Monroe: November 13 – December 1 at 11:59 p.m.
Hammond and Baton Rouge: November 13 – December 8 at 11:59 p.m.
