Prominent Louisiana attorney Gordon McKernan of McKernan Injury Attorneys recently signed his second major Name, Image & Likeness (NIL) deal with an LSU standout athlete. The Louisiana attorney has already made headlines after inking a NIL deal with LSU Women’s Basketball point guard, Alexis Morris. An Tiger alum himself, McKernan gave his thoughts on why he thinks “LSU is behind in this game” concerning NIL deals. In the late December 2021 interview he expressed optimism in how the Division 1 university will dominate the NIL game in the near future.

The Baton Rouge-based personal injury attorney spoke with WAFB Jacques Talk and announced his first NIL partnership with Alexis Morris. McKernan said it was the also the first major NIL deal in women's sports for LSU as well. More importantly the injury attorney spoke of the bright future of more NIL deals to come and huge athlete opportunities in football.
