Hit & Run Driver Wanted in Sulphur for Striking Pedestrian

The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office is searching for Nissan Sentra involved in a hit and run in Sulphur on Thursday, December 6, 2018.

According to a media release, it was at roughly 6 am when an 84-year-old man was checking his mail and was struck by a car traveling southbound in the 7500 block of Choupique Rd. in Sulphur. The car was identified as a 2008-2013 maroon Nissan Sentra with a missing passenger side mirror.

The victim is reportedly "recovering in the hospital with a severe injury to his hand".
