Things To Do In Lake Charles & SWLA This Weekend Sept. 22-24

The weekend is here folks. Aren't you excited? We are for sure. It's been another long week of work and adulting and now it's time to throw caution to the wind and get out and have some fun!

What's going on in the lake area this weekend? We have put together a list for you so you can choose what you want to go do.

John Anderson is performing live at the Golden Nugget in Lake Charles. He will be there this Saturday night, September 23rd, and will take the stage at 8:00 p.m.

The McNeese Cowboys football team will travel to Eastern Illinois on Saturday afternoon. They will be looking to get their first win of the season. Kick-off for the game is set for 2:00 p.m. and you can listen to it live on 92.9 The Lake. It will also be on ESPN+.

Johnny Jimenez will be live at The Social Club located on East McNeese Street in Lake Charles on Saturday night. Johnny and his band will take the stage at 8:00 p.m.

The LSU Tigers will take on Arkansas this Saturday evening in Death Valley for The Battle Of The Boot. Gametime is set for 6:00 p.m. and will be televised on ESPN.

There will be a free child safety seat check and car seat giveaway on Saturday at Southwest Beverage on East Broad Street in Lake Charles. The event is from 9:00 a.m. until Noon and free car seats will be given out while supplies last.
