Jazmine Sullivan’s ‘Reality Show’ Album Debuts at No. 1

Jazmine Sullivan proves that she's still got it. The R&B songbird's latest opus, 'Reality Show' -- her first album in four year -- landed atop the Billboard music charts this week.

The collection debuted at No. 1 on the R&B Albums chart and No. 2 on the Top Hip-Hop/R&B Albums tally. Led by the latest singles, ‘Mascara’ and ‘Forever Don’t Last,’ the Philadelphia songstress’ LP sold 29,000 units in its first week of release.

‘Reality Show’ marks Sullivan’s highest-ranking album to date, coming in four spots ahead of ‘Love Me Back,’ which premiered at No. 5 in 2010. This is an amazing feat for the 27-year-old singer, who once announced to her fans back in 2011, she was retiring from music because it wasn’t fun anymore.

But after getting over a bad relationship and transferring her experiences into music, she reworked her sound and spent time focusing on her story -- and it obviously worked. Sullivan also executive produced the album and penned the majority of the tracks.

‘Reality Show’ now sits at No. 12 on the Billboard 200 charts.
