Joe Jackson, passed away in L.A. at 3:30 am this morning (Wednesday June 27, 2018,) after battling terminal cancer.
Katherine, his wife of 60-years, most of their children and grand kids were constantly at his bedside. The Jackson elder's health had been declining in recent years. His last tweet, was sent to followers 3-days ago.

According to
TMZ in 2015 he suffered a stroke and 3 heart attacks, which led to doctors implanting a pacemaker. A year later he would be hospitalized again for a high fever. In his later years Joe Jackson was diagnosed with cancer and his health was getting increasingly fragile. On June 22 a source close to the family told
TMZ that the Jackson patriarch was hospitalized do to cancer complications, and it wasn't looking good. Soon after Doctors reportedly told the family the senior Jackson was "at the end stages" of the disease and there was nothing more they could do. In preparation for the inevitable, over the last several days his children and loved ones had been going to visit him. https://youtu.be/0Xhzp-IEzY0

Joe Jackson was born July 26, 1928 in Arkansas, and
married wife Katherine in 1949. They had 10 children together. One child, Marlon's twin, sadly died shortly after birth. Shockingly enough, Jackson had another child outside of their marriage. In February this year (2018)
Joh'Vonnie Jackson, who was born one day after Michael's 16th birthday. She stunned the world when
Daily Mail reported that 34-year old was releasing a tell-all book called,

Cheryle Terrell.

Joe and Katherine Jackson never divorced, but they reportedly hadn't lived together for quite some time. They were said to cordial with one another in spite of their trained relationship. Over the years there have been many stories about the late Jackson senior, good and bad. The truth is, at the end of the day, every family has a story.

Whether folks liked the man he was or not, he is responsible for launching the careers of some of the greatest music artist's of all time. Had it not been for Joe Jackson, there would not have been a Jackson 5, no Michael, and no Janet. He created a music legacy that will stand the test of time, and for that I am truly grateful. Rest in sweet peace Joseph Walter Jackson. Thank you for giving your children to the world. My deepest and most heartfelt condolences go out to the entire Jackson family.

So far, there's been no word on whether or not the Jackson's will have a public memorial in his honor. As always, I will keep you posted.
