Kelly Rowland’s Dad Says He Wants To Make A Mends With His Daughter After 20 Years Of Not Speaking — Tha Wire
Kelly Rowland‘s father, Christopher Lovett, has come out of hiatus and now is apparently desperate to reunite with his daughter.
The 67-year-old told Star Magazine that the two haven’t spoken in over 20 years and he feels it’s time they meet. Kelly’s dad was physically abusive to her mom Doris and admits that is what estranged him from his daughter for over two decades. Now he’s hoping to make a mends before “It’s too late. Mr. Lovett told the magazine,
“So many previous years have passed and I’m getting old. I just pray she comes back into my life before it’s too late.” As for his abuse against Kelly’s mom, Lovett revealed, “I couldn't control it. I hoped I could make it up to her. But I’m still waiting for that day.”
Meanwhile, Lovett claims that he’s reached out to K.Row on several occasions, adding “Whenever [Destiny's Child] was on the cover of a magazine, I would call and beg them to tell her I was looking for her.”

In other news, Monday Kanye West proposed to his boo Kim Kardashian with an elaborate set-up at San Francisco’s AT&T Park. While the couple lives their lives in the public eye, they weren’t too happy that video of the proposal leaked online. According to TMZ, their even considering suing the person that secretly taped the engagement and provided it to the press. Sources say Kim and Kanye know who the guilty party is, and that this person broke a confidentiality agreement they were required to sign.
As no surprise the entire proposal was planned to air during an episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians. There’s no telling if E! will get in on the suit, but on this I’ll keep you posted. Of course this is not the first time or the last time the superstar couple will have to deal with situations like this.
