Lake Charles Man Arrested for 1st-Degree Rape

Donald James O. Ellis, Jr. 27, of Lake Charles, was arrested on June 1, by the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office for 1st-degree rape, said a media release.

Detectives learned Ellis had inappropriately touched an 11-year-old girl the night before while she stayed at the home of a family member. He reportedly "confirmed the allegations against him" to detectives.

Ellis was booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center (C.C.C.) and charged with 1st-degree rape. His bond is set at $100,000.
