Lake Charles Woman Arrested for Malfeasance & Carnal Knowledge of a Juvenile

When detectives with the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office went to investigate the escape of two juvenile boys from Boys Village in Lake Charles, on March 22, they learned messages were exchanged between one of the juveniles, aged 16, and 31-year-old Ivella M. Braxton, an employee of Boys Village, located at 8559 Gulf Highway in Lake Charles.

According to a CPSO media release, after the juvenile was located and interviewed by detectives, he told them he was in a relationship with Braxton since June 2018. He also told detectives they had "sexual intercourse" 4 times since they began their relationship, and that he escaped Boys' Village with Braxton picking him up twice and they had sexual intercourse.

A warrant was issued for Braxton's arrest on Monday, April 1, for $105,000. Detectives located her on Tuesday, and she was arrested and booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with "4 counts of felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile; malfeasance in office; sexual conduct prohibited with a prisoner; and accessory after the fact", said the media release.
