Mathew Knowles Lands A Big Deal With “Sunday Best”

Beyonce's dad has been the subject of some major controversy over the last couple of years .  He's been rumored to have cheated on Beyonce's mother,  fathered a child out of wedlock, to have stolen from B.  Well, don't look now -- Mathew Knowles is back in the news, but this time for good news.  Mathew Knowles recently secured an exclusive deal with BET's hit gospel competition series Sunday Best! His label, Music World Gospel, has the honor of releasing the debut albums of the show's 3rd and 4th season winners.

It doesn't stop there.  Knowles' exclusive deal with BET will also allow his label to drop  "best-of" compilations by the show's top contestants.  However, there's now word as to when the first of these "best-of's"  will be ready for release.

Meanwhile, fans will be happy to know that work has begun on the new album for 3rd season champ Le'Andria Johnson.  The album entitled "The Awakening" was produced by the Grammy Award-winning Chuck Harmony, who's worked with the likes of Rihanna, Fantasia and Chrisette Michele.  The release date for 'The Awakening" will be Sept. 6. The lead off single is a beautiful song called "Jesus" and fans can expect to hear it on radio by July 25.
