The first of seven Community Meetings hosted by Mayor Nic Hunter, took place last week with residents in District A. The mayor is set to host a meeting in every district in Lake Charles in the coming weeks. The purpose is to lay out his plan as mayor, and to hear the concerns of the people in each community. All residents are encouraged to come out and attend these meetings. Below, via the American Press, is a look at how the meeting went with residents is District A.

Next up, the residents in District B will have an opportunity to have their voices heard. The meeting will take place Thursday, July 27 at 6 p.m. at Lake Charles-Boston Academy, located at 1509 Enterprise Boulevard, in the auditorium. As previously reported the goal of these meetings is for the cities new Mayor to know more about the needs of the citizens he will serve.
