McAlister’s Deli Returns To Lake Charles
McAlister's Deli Lake Charles was the ideal spot for sandwiches, soups, and salads until it suddenly closed in 2016. The Deli was located on 635 W. Prien Lake Road and officially closed its doors on June 20, 2016. Most customers got a little shock when they went to dine there. There wasn't a heads up, just a note to customers on the door stating the restaurant was closed.
The notice read:
"Thank you for 11 great years. This location has closed for business effective June 20, 2016. Lease/Rent was the deciding factor in making this decision to close."
Just like that, it was gone. The widely popular restaurant has remained closed for nearly 5 years. However, I am happy to say if you've been hearing rumors that they were going to reopen...THEY ARE TRUE!
I for one am excited and I will be first in line when they reopen, to order my favorite Ceaser Chicken Wrap! OMG, it is so good! The new restaurant won't be far from the old one either! According to KPLC TV, it looks like it's gonna be right in front of the mall at 306 W. Prien Lake Rd. So almost right across the street from its original location.
For right now, there are no new grand opening dates or times. However, you can either pass by the new location periodically or go to their website to keep an eye out for more details. In the meantime, we just want to welcome them back.
